James Swinburne

James Swinburne, 89, of Springfield, formerly of Kincaid, Stonington, and Taylorville, died at 12:31 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Jim was born on October 5, 1928 in Christopher, Illinois, to John and Edna (East) Swinburne. He married Patricia Corsiatto on June 8, 1952 in Kincaid, and she survives. He always loved sports, and played everything he could during high school. Jim earned his Bachelor’s at Carthage College, and went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Education from the U of I. He taught Social Studies for 3 years at Tovey, and then went on to teach at Edinburg Junior High School until his retirement 20 years later. He was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. Jim was recently given a life membership for the Taylorville VFW Post 4495, and he was also a member of the Kincaid American Legion. He was a life member of the Illinois Education Association as well as the National Education Association. Jim and his wife Pat attended the First United Methodist Church in Springfield. For his entire life, Jim was a devoted fisherman. He passed on his love for fishing to his grandchildren. He spent many years traveling to Northern Wisconsin with his brother and son for fishing trips. He loved bringing his family together for a good fish fry. He adored his family, and they adored him.

Jim is survived by his wife, Pat, and their two children: Kathy Zwick of Taylorville, Mark Swinburne of Taylorville; four grandchildren: Suzanne (Greg) Mizera, Kevin Swinburne, Andrea (Vince) Schwab, Lauren Zwick; five great grandchildren: Cameron Allen, Xavier Younker, Zerith Swinburne, Leah Doty, Carson Mizera; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Robert Swinburne and John R. “Dick” Swinburne, sister: Patricia Williams, and one nephew: Randy Swinburne.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 14, 2017, at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville, with Reverend Mike Whitaker officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, October 13 from 5 – 7 p.m., also in the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. Memorials may be left to the First United Methodist Church, 2941 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield, IL 62711, the Kincaid American Legion, or Taylorville VFW Post 4495. William G. Clark

William G. Clark, 67 of Springfield passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 1:50 p.m. at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. He was born on February 3, 1950 in El Monte, CA the Son of William Clark and Audrey (Smith) Dechert. He married Susan Andrews on July 10, 1971 in Gibsonia, PA and they were later divorced. William retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service.

Surviving are his Son: Matt (Heidi) Clark of Pittsburg, PA; Grandchildren: Carolyn, Aurora and Owen Clark Mother: Audrey Dechert of Stonington, IL; Sisters: Karen Davis of Arkansas and Deanna Rossini of Round Lake, IL; Brothers: Robert Clark of Stonington, IL and Bradley Clark of Taylorville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Father and grandparents.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Judith Rose Gianasi, 73 of Taylorville passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Taylorville Care Center in Taylorville. She was born on October 16, 1943 in Springfield, IL the Daughter of Emil John and Rose (Dolenc) Leonard. She married Ceasar Gianasi on June 26, 1966 in Springfield, IL. She worked as a homemaker and farmer. Judy was a Taylorville Township trustee and she was an avid golfer winning the ladies city tournament several times and had two holes in one. She was a member of the Taylorville Eagles Auxiliary Aerie 1425 and Christian County Democrat Women.

Surviving are her Husband: Ceasar Gianasi of Taylorville, IL; Sons: Louis (Christi Meyer) Gianasi of Springfield, IL, Michael Gianasi of Taylorville, IL; Brothers: Tom (Martha) Leonard of Lexington, KY; Dan (Dianne) Leonard of Des Moines, IA; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Funeral service starting at 5:00 p.m. with MSGR David S. Lantz officiating. Lunch will be served in memory of Judy on friday, October 20, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the American Legion post 73 in Taylorville. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Wanda M. Shake

Wanda Marie Shake, 82 of Owaneco passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 4:35 p.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville. She was born on November 30, 1934 in Taylorville, IL the Daughter of Louis and Marie (Basil) Loreth. She married William George Shake on October 13, 1956 in Taylorville, IL and he preceded her in death on August 27, 2008. She worked as a homemaker and a member of Buckeye United Methodist Church in Owaneco, IL. Wanda enjoyed church activities, gardening, her pet dogs, country living and watching the birds and deer in the back yard. She especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all that know her.

 

Surviving are her Son: Bryan (Brenda) Shake of Owaneco, IL; Daughter: Beth Ann (Matthew) Tracy of New Holland, IL; Grandchildren: Jeremy (Holly) Orr of Taylorville, IL; Mandy (Derek) Dye of Stonington, IL; Great-grandchildren: Dominic Orr, Abagale Dye, Zacharee Dye, Isaac Orr; Sister: Patricia Casey of Kincaid, IL; Sister-in-Laws: Denise Loreth, Lucille Franklin, Rosalie Shake, Bettie Trimble; Brother-in-Laws: Robert (Kristine) Shake; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Edith L. Taylor, 101, of Edinburg, Illinois passed away at 9:40 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 30, 1915 in Liberty, Kentucky, the daughter of Luther and Maude (Allen) Witt. She married James C. Taylor on July 15, 1933 in Jamestown, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on November 6, 2004. Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. Edith devoted her life to raising and caring for her family. She loved to garden, work in her yard, and quilting.

She is survived by her children: Helen Turvey (Everett) of Taylorville, Tony Taylor (Deanna) of Morrisonville, Kay Landgrebe (Gary) of Springfield, Penny Tetzel (Horst) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Pamela Brady (Michael) of Caseyville, Illinois; 23 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and brother: Wallace Witt of Somerset, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters: Jeanette Taylor, Juanita Taylor, Rita Johnson, and Charlotte Reed; sisters: Lela Witt, Mary Witt, Opal Helm, and Roberta Atwood; and brothers: Paul Witt, Howard Witt, James Witt, and Luther Witt.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at McClure Funeral Home with Pastor Ted Marrinan officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery, Sharpsburg. James William Bates, 77 of Stonington passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 2:35 a.m. at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IL. He was born on August 12, 1940 in Poughkeepsie, AR the Son of Earnest and Viva (Smith) Bates. He married Marsha McDonald on June 16, 1961 in Ava, IL. Jim worked as a superintendent at Stonington Grain Co-Op.

Surviving are his Wife: Marsha Bates of Stonington, IL; Son: Todd (Kathy) Bates of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Brooke and Judd Bates of Taylorville, IL; Sisters: Lola (Jim) Kail of Ava, IL and Ella Lomprez of Taylorville, IL; Brother: Galen (Linda) Bates of Edinburg, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grandaughter: Marissa Kathleen Bates, Brother: Bill Bates and Sister: Wanda Bottoms.

Clinton J. Hornbuckle

Clinton J. Hornbuckle, 40, of Taylorville, IL passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 12:01 a.m. at his home surrounded by his family.

Clint was born August 27, 1977 in Aurora, IL, the son of Greg and Patty (Bell) Hornbuckle. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, plumber, and landscaper, but found his work family at Kroger Grocery Store in Taylorville. Clint was an active member of the Evangelical Free Church in Taylorville. He enjoyed his children and was a loving and devoted father. Clint loved anything outdoors, especially golf, fishing, hunting, and sports of any kind. His love of wrestling at all levels was his first passion. He wrestled from the age of 5 all the way through high school, and then went on to coach both the younger kids and at the junior high level.

Clint was a U.S. Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He served his country from 1995-1999. For his service to his country he was presented with a U.S. Marine Corp pin at a ceremony recently.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Judy Bell of Yorkville, IL; and maternal Aunt Betty (Halbesma) Huston of Yorkville.

He is survived by his significant other, Kate Graham of Taylorville; his children, Lucas Joseph, 8 weeks old of Taylorville, Katie, 13 and Erik, 10 of Walnut Creek, CA (mother Susan Kjaer Hornbuckle), step-son Michael Mason, 12 of Taylorville; his parents, Greg and Patty Hornbuckle of Taylorville; his sister Cindy Woods of Taylorville; his brother Chad (wife, Nena Ferrari) Hornbuckle of Edwardsville; nieces and nephews Kyle and Cole Woods and Brynn, Grant and Brock Hornbuckle; his grandparents, Robert and Fern Hornbuckle of Taylorville; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Evangelical Free Church, 319 S Washington St., Taylorville, IL.

Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m., on Monday Oct 30, 2017 at the Evangelical Free Church, with Pastor Don Beetem as celebrant.

Interment will follow the ceremony at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, where military honors will be provided.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to an Education Fund for Clint’s children. Checks must be made payable to Greg Hornbuckle.

Howard D. "Dale" LeVault

Howard D. “Dale” LeVault, 81, of Stonington passed away at 5:07 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 28, 1936 in Sesser, Illinois, the son of Gilbert H. and Nina M. (Eubanks) LeVault. He married Constance J. “Connie” Batty on April 5, 1958 in Stonington. She preceded him in death on September 19, 2017. Dale was an Army Veteran. He was a member of the Stonington First Baptist Church and the Stonington Masonic Lodge. Dale retired as a Vice President of the First National Bank in Springfield. Dale and Connie enjoyed traveling, eating out and listening to gospel music. He also enjoyed volunteering at the local food pantry.

He is survived by his sons: Kevin LeVault (Ann) and David LeVault all of Stonington, and Mark LeVault (Debra) of Edinburg; grandchildren: Tara Ramsey, James LeVault (Kelsey), John LeVault (Courtney), Tim LeVault, Ashley LeVault (Kenny Hughes), Ashley Ekiss (Ben Irwin), Lisa Tolbert (Nathan), Stephanie Rogahn (Atlee), Adam LeVault (Taylor), Andy LeVault (Brittany), Christy Gust (Brogan), Garrett LeVault (Emily), and Audrey LeVault; 12 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Martha Fowler (Larry) of Taylorville and Vivian Batty of Stonington; brother-in-law: Bernard May of LaGrange, Georgia; aunt: Pat Eubanks of Stonington; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Connie.

The funeral service for Dale will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 2, 2017 in the Stonington First Baptist Church with Rev. William Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 AM Thursday in the church. Burial will be in the Old Stonington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Inter Church Council Food Pantry in Blue Mound. Ruth J. Schwab, 70 of Taylorville formerly of Pana passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 4:05 a.m. at her residence in Taylorville. She was born on July 12, 1947 in Pana, IL the Daughter of James E. and Elsie (Lowe) Schwab. Ruth worked at Liberty Mutual and later she was an account tech at the Illinois Department of Revenue.


Surviving are her Sisters: Rietta (Dick) Risdon and Rose (Bob) Muster both of Taylorville, IL; Nieces and Nephews: David (Tammy) Howell, Karrie (Brian) Gatton, Scott Muster and Andy Muster all of Taylorville, IL; Patti (Reidd) Peterson of Neoga, IL; Julie (Matt) Mendenhall of Springfield, IL.


Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Becky Lembke officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery in Pana, IL.

Henrietta Morrill

Henrietta Morrill, 89 passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Countryside Manor Nursing Home in Mt. Vernon, where she has called home the last four years due to failing health. She was born in Versailles, KY on February 17, 1928 the daughter of James and Irene Stephens.


Herrietta was a long-time resident of Edinburg, Illinois. She had exceptional talent in furniture restoration and various crafts. She was a member of Edinburg First Baptist Church and enjoyed making flower arrangements for the congregation to enjoy. Her expertise in home decorating and floral design were displayed yearly when she opened her Edinburg residence during the Christmas Home Tours. The large lighted pine tree on the corner of the residence was a yearly icon that the Christmas Season had arrived.


She enjoyed a career creating wedding and other spectacular culinary baking arts. She retired from Memorial Medical Center in 1993, working as a baker in the department of diabetics. During this time, she demonstrated her culinary expertise by creating a cake replica of Memorial Medical Center “G” Building for their 90th Birthday Celebration.
Surviving is her Sister: Beulah (Dan) Franks of Frankfort, KY; two sons: Rick Morrill of Rangely, CO and William (Pam) Hartley of Versailles, KY, two Step-Daughters: Janice (Roger) Daniel of Mt. Vernon, IL and Peggy Striplin of Colorado Springs, CO; twelve grandchildren; Fifteen Great-Grandchildren and ten Great-Great Grandchildren.


Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Edinburg. The funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Edinburg, IL with Pastor Denny Hamilton officiating. Burial will be held in Edinburg Cemetery in Edinburg, IL.

Jacob C. "Jay" Germann

Jacob C. “Jay” Germann, 70, of Taylorville passed away at 6:35 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2017, in his daughter’s home in Springfield. He was born on September 21, 1947 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Clifford and Betty (Willoughby) Germann. Jay worked many years as a coal miner at Peabody Mine #10. He was a member of the UMWA and enjoyed coin collecting.

 

He is survived by his son: Jay Germann (Amy) of Taylorville; daughter: Paula Phillips (Randy) of Springfield; grandchildren: Nathan Franklin (Emma), Shawn Franklin (Lacey), Hannah Dees (Alex), and Hope Germann (Adam Gilmore); step-grandchildren: Kaleigh Hamm and Tucker Hamm; great grandchildren: Sylas Franklin, Thomas Dees, and Bennox Franklin; sister: Anne Millburg of St. Louis, Missouri and Ellen Chambers of Edmond, Oklahoma; and brother: Jim Germann of Raymond. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Dorothy Meyers, and brothers: Donnie Germann and Charles “Butch” Germann.

 

Funeral Service for Jay will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville with Rev. Chad Foster officiating. Lois E. Hill

Lois E. (Welge) Hill, 90, of Springfield, IL, formerly of Taylorville, passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Heritage Health Hospice in Springfield, IL.

 

Lois was born January 15, 1927 in Zanesville, IL the daughter of Roy W. and Charlotte (Mundhink) Welge. She married Charles H. Hill on September 8, 1943 in Hillsboro, IL. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1973.

 

Lois was homemaker and worked the family farm. She also worked in conjunction with First Trust Bank, in Taylorville, and their trust department, to arrange for in home healthcare services for many citizens of Christian County, often times working in the homes herself. She was a past member of the First United Methodist Church of Taylorville, United Methodist Church of Owaneco, the Home Bureau of Christian County, Christian County 4H, and the Lady Land Owners of Christian County. Lois enjoyed vegetable gardening, canning, attending auctions, antiquing, and refinishing furniture.

 

She was also preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings.

 

Lois is survived by her children, Diana K. Umberger of Taylorville, IL, Judith A. DeWerff of Mt. Olive, IL, Charlene H. (husband, Douglas) Ross of Birmingham, AL, and Charles H. (companion, Lizzy Brown) Hill of Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Lucas (wife, Tracee) Ross of Boulder, CO, Colleen (husband, Pele Washington) Ross of Seattle, WA, Lori Curran of Gillespie, IL, and Garrett and Aidan Hill both of Charleston, IL; great grandchildren, Taylor Ross-Washington and Ella Curran; and many nieces and nephews.

 

A private family graveside ceremony was held at Glen Haven Memorial Garden in Taylorville, IL.

Jordan E. Heberling

Jordan E. Heberling, 99 of Owaneco, IL passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11:00 p.m. at his residence in Owaneco. He was born on October 22, 1918 in Taylorville, IL the Son of Henry “Curtis” and Alberta E. (Elliott) Heberling. He married I. Geraldine “Gerry” Large on October 29, 1939 and she preceded him in death on May 14, 1999. Jordan worked at Bodendieks and then later at Georgia Pacific where he worked as a cutter in the paper division for 43 years. Jordan’s most treasured job was farming, which he did simultaneously to his other work. Jordan began farming as a young boy helping his parents, hiring on with other farmers as a teen and went on eventually his own farm. He loved his animals; from his cows, horses, pigs and ponies, to his goats, chickens, kitties, dogs and donkey.

Jordan also loved his family. He is survived by Daughters: Judy VanHooser, Margaret (Ronald) Allen; Son Donnie (Charlotte) Heberling; Siblings: Edward Heberling, Anna Lou Yoho, Grace Greffe, and Leroy Heberling; sister-in-Law: Charlotte Manfredo; Brother-in-Law: Ronald (Maxine) Large; Grandchildren: Rebecca Vanhooser-Smith, Annette VanHooser, Jason (Stephanie) Heberling, Joshua (Sarah) Heberling, Audra Allen, Ashley (Travis) Allen and Austin (Tori) Allen; Ten great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and Cousins.

Terry L. Ostermeier

Terry L. Ostermeier, 73, of Taylorville passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Heritage Manor in Pana. He was born on August 27, 1944 in Taylorville, the son of Karl Ostermeier and Francis Jenkins Able. He married Shirley (Tirpak) Friesland on October 22, 1983 in Taylorville. Terry operated a Mobil gas station in Taylorville for many years and also sold cars at B & J Speed Shop and was the owner of Terry’s Car City. Terry also owned and operated the T & C Lounge for many years. He had a passion for cars and racing. Terry was a champion stock car driver and competed in many drag races and demo derbies throughout the years. He was a member of the Taylorville Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife: Shirley Ostermeier of Taylorville; children: Teresa Wright, Terry Ostermeier (Michelle), Travis Ostermeier (Angie), Ted Ostermeier (Brittany), Troy Trimble, Tenniel Pearson (Steve), Tomra Friesland (Hayle), and Tyler Neer (Vance) all of Taylorville; 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sisters: Karen Kramer (Rev. Carl) of Collinsville, Connecticut, Barb Cannon (Rev. Daniel) of New Braunfels, Texas, Jenny Ostermeier of Decatur, and Linda McDermith (Brandon) of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and half-brother Karl Ostermeier.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville with Rev. Rodney Blomquist officiating. There will be no visitation, but a gathering will be held in the church basement following the service. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Lorene Marie Noreuil, 84 of Taylorville passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 9:00 p.m. at Prairie Rose Health Care Center in Pana, IL. She was born on August 11, 1933 in Taylorville, IL the Daughter of Roy and Maude (Taylor) Parrish. She married Raymond Noreuil on March 3, 1951 in the First Baptist Church in Taylorville. She worked as the supervisor over the mail room at Horace Mann.

Surviving are her husband: Raymond Noreuil of Taylorville; Daughter: Deborah (Michael) Nickey of Urbana, IL; Grandson: James J. Paul of Taylorville, IL; Great-Granddaughter: Mackenzie Raymond of Taylorville, IL; Great-Great-Granddaughter: Nora Louise Hushour; Sister: Janet (Jimmie) Roach of Taylorville; Nieces Kristie Jaeger, Anita Bluhm and Lori Buschon; Nephews: Rick Strunk and Ron Kuntzman. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Grandson Timothy Paul; Sister Norma Strunk.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor James Jones officiating. Burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.

Josephine Black, 86 of Fillmore passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 5:20 a.m. at Vandalia Rehabilitation and health Care Center in Vandalia. She was born on June 16, 1931 in Hillsboro, IL the Daughter of Dossie and Bertha (Elam) Roe. She was the owner of Jo’s Bingham Store in Bingham and cook at several other local restaurants. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Vandalia, IL and she often attended Liberty Church in Bingham. 
Surviving are her Son: Chester (Saundra) Stoneburner of Fillmore; Roy (Suzanne) Stoneburner of Godley, TX; Daughter: Janet (Vaughn) Voelker of Altamont, IL; Grandchildren: Crystal (Trent) Shellabarger, Bob Stoneburner, Jennifer Carlock, Bill Stoneburner, Jessica Stoneburner, Shae Jones, Jodi Stoneburner, Clayton Stoneburner, Kasi Brown, Kayla Brown; Great-Grandchildren: Brody, Emma, Lily, Nora, Hannah W., Hannah H., Ransom, Gage, Hunter, Hailee; Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Daughter Kathy Stoneburner, Sister: Bonnita (Alvin) Whitten, Brother: Maurice (Betty) Roe.

Helen K. Welsh, 101 of Taylorville passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 7:45 p.m. at her residence in Taylorville. She was born on May 6, 1916 in Springfield, IL the daughter of Thomas and Victoria (Shupenus) Kwedar. She married Howard Welsh on February 21, 1941 in Springfield, IL and he preceded her in death on October 16, 1997. Helen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Taylorville and she was a retired claims supervisor for the Social Security Administration.

Surviving are her Daughters: Jane Welsh of New Hampshire and Victoria Welsh of California. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 1 daughter, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.

It was Helens wish to be cremated and there will be no services. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery in rural Taylorville.

Ronald L. Eblin, 58 of Taylorville passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 10:38 a.m. at his residence in Taylorville. He was born on December 20, 1958 in Taylorville, IL the Son of Robert LeClair and Vivian Delores (Westland) Eblin. He married Tina M. Smith on October 26, 2012 in Taylorville. He worked as a Group Lead Route SVE Rep for Quest Diagnostics in Springfield, IL. Ron was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and Military Police. He was active in Scouting and sports, Little League Baseball, Jr. and Senior High Baseball, Basketball, Track, and Football lettering in all sports. He was a past member of VFW Post #4495 in Taylorville.

Surviving are his Wife: Tina Eblin of Taylorville, IL; Daughter: Nicole “Nikki” Caroline (Josh) Heacock of Collinsville, IL; Step Daughter: Lela Mundhenke and Companion Damion Powell of Taylorville, IL; Sisters: Yvonne (Bob) Yard; Pam (Henry) Prehn; Suzy (Bob) Anderson all of Taylorville, IL and Debbie (Kurt) Bangert of Nokomis, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews, great- nieces and great- nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Dawn E. Vanhooser and Sheri Eblin.

Keith W. Warnsing, 90 of Taylorville passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11:52 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born on May 23, 1927 in Nokomis, IL the Son of Ross and Bertha (White) Warnsing. He married Viola Irene Chaney on September 22, 1954 and she preceded him in death on February 11, 2015. Keith was a United States Army Air Corps Veteran serving from 1945 to 1946. He worked as a farmer, seed corn salesman, hail insurance adjuster, disc sharpener, 4-H leader, and farm bureau board member in the Shelby and Christian county areas.

Surviving are his sons: Mark (Wanda) Warnsing of Divernon, IL, and Randy (Connie) Warnsing of Galena, IL; grandchildren: Andrew (Kelli) Warnsing, and Abbey Warnsing; great-grandchildren: Anya and Audrey Warnsing; brother: Leon (Martha) Warnsing of Raymond, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sisters: Norma Braye and June House.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with funeral service starting at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Becky Lembke officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery in rural Nokomis, with military honors.
